Inn 1831 was built by Richard McCary. Richard was a successful mason and built the Old Palmyra Stone Jail, the Carysbrook Plantation, and the Palmer Country Manor that is now Inn 1831.

You enter into a large foyer with the parlor to the left and living room to the right (currently being used as an office). You will notice the original heart pine floors.
